An image based narrative on the K2 Basecamp Trek.
I have just released my book on the K2 Basecamp Trek, the trek that takes you up the immense Baltoro glacier, and, as an option, across the Gondogoro La pas on the way out.
It is, like the my previous two books in this series (Everest Basecamp via Cho La and Annapurna Basecamp via Gorepani and Poon Hill) an image based narrative meaning that there are a lot of beautiful pictures from the trip in this book and the text is kept at a minimum and is only there to explain and support the pictures. Anyway, there is a map and a day by day description of the route taken with guidance on how to tackle the altitude.
Through these images you will get an insight into the course of the trek and the amazing experience this beautiful but also challenging trip will give you. The book can be used both to prepare you for your own trip or as a memory of the incredible experience it is to trek through some of the most imposing surroundings in the world.
All images are shot retro style on film using analog cameras.
